Jazz Pianist Kenn Pettiford,
                                                ...Biography

Kenn Pettiford has been playing the piano and singing since early childhood. While in his teens, Kenn began performing “professionally” all over the country and around the world in jazz venues, theatrical productions, concert settings, and in religious services and ceremonies.

Pettiford’s rich baritone voice is expressive and flexible in its many styles; it lets you know you’re listening to a seasoned professional. When you listen, you feel the music as his perfect phrasing, articulation, and intonation tells the story of each song. He has an uncanny ability to make you laugh, set you at ease, and include you in his performances.

Kenn has traveled to perform in Japan, Sweden, Holland, France, Italy, Germany, Hawaii, and the Fijian islands. In recent years Kenn has had the pleasure of collaborating with various performers such as Akio Sasajima, a world class guitarist. Together, they created the exciting duo “2 Kool,” and performed in numerous European venues.

Kenn has also collaborated on projects with Mavis Vegas Davis, who is an exciting vocalist and also the assistant director of “That Seventies Show.” Mavis and Kenn, with Bob Este, developed an act opening for Whoopi Goldberg and also performing The Spirit Awards, honoring comedy writer Bruce Vilanche in Hollywood.

Kenn Pettiford is also an extraordinary Master of Ceremonies. In conjunction with Karen Burns Productions, he has hosted most of Harrah’s Lake Tahoe Awards Shows, conventions, VIP parties, and promotional tours. He was the Master of Ceremonies and featured vocalist for the “New Millennium New Years Eve Celebration.” He has starred in other New Years Eve galas, extravaganzas, and celebrations at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe, Silver Legacy Hotel and Casino, Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe, Peppermill Hotel and Casino, Eldorado Hotel and Casino, Harvey’s Hotel and casino, and for Mandalay Bay Resorts, Inc.

Kenn hosted the Beaulieu Vineyards, BV wines, 100 year “Celebration of Passionate Wine Making” at The Rutherford House in Napa Valley, and the Weston St. Francis in San Francisco.

His talents were also featured as the vocalist for a Cisco Systems event at the San Francisco Gift Pavilion, San Francisco, California. Kenn has also performed for numerous benefits and charitable organizations.

This just scratches the surface of Kenn’s participation in the arts. If you have the opportunity, catch a Kenn Pettiford performance and enjoy his exceptional abilities as a performer.
